San Francisco Loft Design

San Francisco, the Golden Gate city is a city of wonderful places such as the Fisherman’s Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, Alcatraz and a lot of art museums. Artists fill the city streets in this charming city. Most residents living in the City by the Bay stay in lofts or apartments. One great example is a loft designed by Steven Volpe, an esteemed designer.

The loft design for this 2,100 square ft. area is simple yet elegantly fitted with minimal furniture to maximize the floor space. The dining area is the first thing you see when you enter, furnished with a sturdy wood table and eight wood chairs to match for visitors. Right next to the dining area is an eat-in kitchen complete with a marble-top table for those nightcaps on late nights or quick breakfast runs on late mornings. It also has two bathrooms with a full bath on the upper level.

The loft design had the combination of comfort and luxury in mind. An 18 feet glass wall with glass doors separates the dining area and the open courtyard. Sunlight pours into the living room and dining area freely during the morning and brightens up the beautiful wood-paneled floors and exposed red bricks. It gives the loft a feeling of being in a countryside home. The high columns found on the main floor and stands up to the ceiling are made of redwood which helps give a rustic ambience. The resident can easily relax after a long day in the comfort of this beautifully designed home.
