R & R in the Spa

The ESPA spa located in Istanbul is one of the latest and most recent designs to be completed for a spa. Found in the exclusive EDITION hotel, this spa boasts both luxury and relaxation. This spa features a contemporary design by Hirsch Bedner Associates or HBA. 

 

Turkish traditions are the source of inspiration for the design with a slight emphasis on the Hammam customs. The designs are also influenced by the atmosphere of Istanbul. The combination of both old and new elements creates an atmosphere which is uniquely contemporary and luxurious to say the least. Dark colors are used for the floor and support beams while light colors and crystals are used on the walls. The walls and corridors harmoniously blend with the furniture even though most of them are not straight. These components complement one another to create a mysterious ambiance. 

 

The crystals are integrated into this spa design with their edges subtly glistening in the light. Light is fully controlled and regulated inside the spa. The cut out patterns found in the traditional Hammam are used to house the light. This, coupled with the crystals, create a rich feeling of luxury and warmth. All in all, the ESPA spa provides everything necessary to achieve a well deserved R & R.
