Space is definitely one of the most obvious constraints when you are designing a small apartment. And with that, there are times that style just goes out of the window in order to put functionality at the top priority.
Nonetheless, that should not always be the case. Even small apartments can be designed skilfully using the right design elements to still maintain functionality. It is all about coming up with an apartment design that is well-designed and appropriate.
Design ideas
To achieve the highest possible level of functionality, you must make the most out of every corner of your apartment. This way, you will not waste any space.
For instance, you can make your hallway more welcoming through the use of wallpapers and small pieces of furniture. A petite table coupled with an armchair can be a good idea. This can actually turn the hallway into a room by itself.
To give an illusion of wide space, you can paint the walls white. This is because white bounces light which gives the illusion of expansion. Tall walls are also good.
You can also have a cozy reading area near your window. This will give you not only natural light, but also a good view.
